Slöyd Experience
Carving Children's Character through the scandinavian tradition
The “social emotional lab” nature of the sloyd classroom provides an approachable environment for a diversity of student learning styles to have a chance to problem solve, overcome mistakes, and learn how to identify and manage emotions.
future makers
workforce development program for high school seniors
Our main objective is to provide job skills for underserved young people seeking employment in the manufacturing, fabrication and design + build industries.
Our space serves as a hub for makers and a training ground for participants in everything from time management to managing a team.
We are working side-by-side with other community based organizations and within the school system to create the best opportunities for our young future makers and do-ers.
adult & family classes
We believe passing on skills is what keeps our communities, families and traditions alive.
