we are all teachers

Knowledge is not something held exclusively by experts or institutions—it lives within the community and grows when it is shared.

By sharing what we know and learning from one another, we build a more capable, connected, and self-reliant community.

This is our folk school model:

Facilitators from the community bring their knowledge and expertise and exchange it for bartered goods brought by the participants.

No money. No experience necessary.

Propose a workshop you’d like to put on, whether at your place or ours. We especially encourage people who have never taught before or just want to help someone else.

We know lots of people who know lots of things if you want us to ask around for skills you want to learn.
