No experience necessary–learn the basics of hand tool woodworking in one evening and take home a beautiful project.
You will build your own loom from scratch using hand tools and common material from the hardware store. You will work at your own workbench with a handsaw, plane and drill. Learn to bore holes, assemble, glue, screw and finish a portable loom that can sit in your lap or on a table–all in 3 hours! We will even make our own dowels.
These narrow looms are used to make traditional Scandinavian bunda and used for belts, sashes, cords, ribbons or trim.
Hosted by Nicholas Maier. The class for how to use your loom is hosted by Kathy Macpherson the following day, October 24th from 10-4
