One of the most intimidating parts of learning to carve is how to keep your tools sharp—but it need not be! Consider this a Sharpening for Dummies where you learn principles to apply to knives, chisels, planes, garden tools, mower blades and everything else where the edge matters.
This class is in partnership with Rewild Portland and is an extension of their free Spoon Club program, every third Sunday of the month.
Taught by local Portland carving legend Leslie Walters, you will be exposed to a wide variety of deep woodworking, historical and ecological knowledge.
